Information for Brokers
Bare Cove Logistics drivers greatly appreciate long-term working relationships with brokers that run consistent, repeat lanes in their respective markets. Our current truck status & location is available at the bottom of each page of this website. If our status indicates we will be unloading soon in an area you are shipping from, please call or text Mike at 1-781-706-4708 if you would like to discuss booking with us. We send a daily email with our truck location update and the zip code we will be empty in after unloading our current freight. If you would like to be added to that mailing list, please email barecovelogistics@outlook.com with the subject line: Daily Update Request. Bare Cove Logistics offers discounted rates for large volumes of pre-booked lanes and to brokers who provide repeat business.

Rate & Mileage Criteria $3.00 per mile is the lower end of our price range for hauling. Lower rates can be negotiated as the volume of miles increases. We prefer hauls that cover a minimum of 900 miles. We can haul any distance over 900 miles in the lower 48 U.S. States. Per longstanding company policy, we will park our trucks indefinitely before hauling for rates that do not cover operating costs and a reasonable profit margin for the services we provide.

Factoring Information We have a factoring agreement with OTR Solutions. The brokerage company must be on OTR's list of approved vendors for us to accept the load, which we will check before booking. If the brokerage company is not approved, we will not book the load.

Company Policy • We prefer to book loads and sign the rate confirmation at least 12 hours in advance of the scheduled pickup. We will not rush to a shipping facility that is nearing closing time. • We accept hauls with one pick-up location, and one drop-off location. We cannot book hauls that require multiple pick-up or drop-off locations. • We will not work with facilities that require us to be onsite for more than 2 hours to load or unload our truck. • We can accept a specific appointment time at the shipping facility, but please note that WE WILL NOT WORK WITH RECEIVING FACILITIES THAT REQUIRE SPECIFIC UNLOADING TIME APPOINTMENTS. A time window, or 24-hour access is required at the RECEIVING FACILITY. • If we are not being actively loaded within the first 90 minutes after checking in at the shipper's office, we will notify the broker and the on-site shipping staff that we are declining the contract and leaving the facility due to the unreasonable delay. • For power-only flatbed hauls, the cargo must be properly secured in advance of our arrival. • We will not accept an empty or loaded trailer if we deem it is not in safe, roadworthy condition or if the registration is not current and valid. We will not load or connect to a trailer if negligent safety practices are observed at the facility. • We will not accept loads that require us to provide advance funding of any kind. We will make no exceptions to this policy.

Essential Shipping & Receiving Facility Information To provide the best possible service, we require as much information as possible about the facilities we will be working with, such as: • Shipping AND receiving facility contact information (Names, phone numbers, VERIFIED addresses, and arrival parking locations) • Average waiting times and unloading procedures (Will the truck be unloaded without delay, or is pallet breakdown required?) • Hours of operation with pickup AND delivery dates and associated time windows • Lumper fees, if any - with associated payment procedures planned in advance • On-site security protocols, and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) requirements, if applicable • On-site safety policies • Detainment policy and rate information

Scaling & Weight Limits • Though federal regulations allow for a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 80,000 pounds, our company policy strictly limits GVW to 76,000 pounds. • Our tractor unit without a trailer attached weighs 21,000 pounds. • For power-only projects, the total trailer weight with cargo must not exceed 55,000 pounds. (21,000-pound tractor + 55,000-pound trailer with cargo = 76,000 pounds) • For dry van or reefer pickups, the cargo alone must not exceed 35,000 pounds. • We will not make exceptions to the above scaling guidelines under any circumstances.
